Hayden Nelms a licensed professional counselor who has worked in mental health setting for 7 years. She has been employed with South Central since 2017. Hayden graduated with her Associates in Psychology from ABAC in Tifton, GA in 2009. She attended the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2011. She then attended Valdosta State University where she graduated with a Masters in Clinical Counseling Psychology in 2013. Hayden's experience includes providing clinical therapy at a community mental health clinic and providing integrated mental health care in the primary care setting. Hayden has provided a variety of clinical services within the agencies she has served including crisis intervention & debriefing, support groups, life-skills groups, relapse prevention interventions, individual and family therapies, and couples therapy. She works well with all populations and specializes in emotional & behavioral problems in children, trauma, work-related stress, anger management, depression and anxiety disorders.

 

Hayden believes that at any time we all may need a helping hand to assist us in coping and working through challenges. Her primary interest is a strength-based, solution focused, holistic approach in working with those experiencing difficulty. By providing a relaxed and confidential environment she allows the client to find their way through their challenges. Hayden will encourage, guide and support the individual as they take back control of their life and teach them the tools they need to be successful in their journey to health and happiness.
