Family Planning (Title X)
The Title X Family Planning Program is the only Federal program dedicated solely to the provision of family planning and related preventive health services. Our providers will offer a broad range of acceptable and effective medically approved contraceptive methods and related services on a voluntary and confidential basis with priority given to persons from low-income families.
Title X services include the distribution of related preventive health services, including patient education and counseling; cervical and breast cancer screening; sexually transmitted disease and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) prevention education, testing, and referral; as well as pregnancy diagnosis and counseling. By law, Title X funds may not be used in programs where abortion is a method of family.
