Shondra Holmes, a native of Valdosta, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the field of mental health for over 7 years. She graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelors in Sociology and Anthropology in 2011 and earned her Master’s in Social Work in 2013. She has experience in providing individual and group psychotherapy in diverse areas including those who struggle with substance use and/or mental health issues as well as children and adolescents within the school system. While she utilizes various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, she works within the theoretical framework of an interpersonal approach which focuses on the therapeutic relationship as a key component in the process of change. She is passionate and devoted to serving others which led her on the journey to social work. Her motto is 'to meet people where they are at' to help them thrive and be their best self.
